All Are Alike Unto God: Leading Out in Rooting Out Racism

Brothers and Sisters, Over the last few months, we have been visibly reminded that racism and racial injustice persist all around us. Many have been hurt and continue to suffer because of racial inequality. In this past October General Conference, we heard much discussion on this topic and we, as a Stake Presidency and Stake Relief Society Presidency, believe we must follow the admonition of President Nelson to “lead out in abandoning attitudes and actions of prejudice.” ... LESSON 1: COME UNTO ME

“To be Christlike, a person loves mercy… These individuals treat everyone with love and understanding, regardless of characteristics such as race, gender, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and tribal, clan, or national differences. These are superseded by Christlike love.” - Elder Renlund

LESSON 4: REPENT

“The Creator of us all calls on each of us to abandon attitudes of prejudice against any group of God’s children. Any of us who has prejudice toward another race needs to repent!” - President Nelson

LESSON 5: LEAD OUT and PROMOTE

“Today I call upon our members everywhere to lead out in abandoning attitudes and actions of prejudice. I plead with you to promote respect for all of God's children." - President Nelson
